Kate Walsh worked for History SA from 1985 to 2008 as a curator at the Migration Museum and as manager of the Community History Unit, contributing to the development of History SA’s significant historical collections and its exhibitions and other public programs promoting the presentation and interpretation of South Australia's history. She now operates a historical consulting firm. She is a member of the Professional Historians Association and Museums Australia.
